Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Grand Opening of MedExpress Urgent Care

(Morgantown, WV; January 30, 2006)

MedExpress Urgent Care opened its doors to patients on February 1st, 2006, next to Lowe’s on Grand Central Ave. in Vienna. With a mission of “Great Care. Fast.” and a strong commitment to customer service and a welcoming environment, the new clinic promises to impress patients from the Parkersburg, Vienna and surrounding areas. “The MedExpress facility was specifically designed to maximize patient flow and build on our already great reputation for providing great care fast,” said Medical Director, David
R. Ferrell, M.D. He continued, “we think our patients will be very impressed with the facility.” This is MedExpress Urgent Care’s second facility in West Virginia.

MedExpress Urgent Care opened for business in September, 2001, in the historic Weiss building in the Wharf District of Morgantown, WV. Continued support and approval of MedExpress by Morgantown and surrounding communities has spurred growth that caused re-location to a larger, improved Morgantown facility on January 27, 2006. In 2002, MedExpress - Morgantown was awarded the “Best New Business” and “Best Interior Decor” awards by the Morgantown Chamber of Commerce. The physicians and founders are all graduates of West Virginia University.

MedExpress provides urgent care services treating acute illnesses and injuries every day of the week from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. There are no appointments. Patients just walk in for illnesses like flu, colds, bronchitis, or pneumonia, and injuries such as strains, sprains, lacerations or other minor surgery needs. MedExpress is known for its attention to great care and efficiency, and is proud of it ability to process, diagnose and treat most patients in much less than an hour.

MedExpress is equipped with on-site diagnostic capabilities and staffed by highly-trained physicians, nurses and technologists, many of whom have training in emergency medicine. MedExpress also provides other general health services, including adult immunizations, allergy shots and an array of physicals. The facility houses a laboratory, EKG suite and X-ray department, staffed at all times by a certified radiologic technologist. On-site testing provides quick turnaround of results and eliminates the need for you
to go elsewhere for common tests.

MedExpress accepts most insurance plans. The staff can assist in confirming your coverage.
