MedExpress Urgent Care Opens Second Area Clinic

Pleasant Hills, PA, September 8, 2006  

September 12, 2006 , will mark the opening of the newest MedExpress Urgent Care clinic. With a strong commitment to customer service and a welcoming environment, the new clinic promises to be a quality healthcare option for residents from Pleasant Hills and surrounding communities. The facility is located next to Southland Shopping Center on Clairton Blvd , in Pleasant Hills.

The first Pittsburgh area MedExpress opened its doors October 3, 2005 , in Monroeville , next to Panera in Penn Center . The success of the Monroeville clinic and its continued draw of patients from the Pleasant Hills area showed a need for a facility closer to the city. Dr. Frank Alderman, President and CEO of MedExpress, is pleased have to a presence in Pleasant Hills and believes the feeling will be mutual. “MedExpress provides the absolute best full-service urgent care experience to patients as well as top-shelf corporate care services to the business community.”

MedExpress provides urgent care services treating acute illnesses and injuries every day of the week from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. There are no appointments. Patients just walk in for illnesses like flu, colds, bronchitis, or pneumonia, and injuries such as strains, sprains, lacerations or other minor surgery needs. MedExpress is known for its attention to great care and efficiency, and is proud of its ability to process, diagnose and treat most patients in under an hour.

MedExpress is equipped with on-site diagnostic capabilities and staffed by highly-trained physicians, nurses and technologists, many of whom have training in emergency medicine. The facility houses a laboratory, EKG suite and X-ray department, staffed at all times by a certified radiologic technologist. On-site testing provides quick turnaround of results and eliminates the need for you to go elsewhere for common tests.
