MedExpress Urgent Care Converts to Digital X-ray TechnologyMorgantown, WV - November 16, 2006
MedExpress Urgent Care is pleased to announce that the latest in X-ray technology is now available for patients in all five of its clinics. The MedExpress Washington clinic, located in Gabriel’s Plaza, is the last of MedExpress’ five clinics to be updated to Kodak’s new Computed Radiography equipment.
“The benefits of such a system are invaluable to our customer because of our commitment to convenience and technology,” noted Dr. Frank Alderman, President and CEO of MedExpress. “This technology allows for faster reads, leading to more efficient care.”
With this updated equipment, X-rays of injuries and fractures can be viewed by doctors on a monitor almost instantly. All X-ray Technologists have received professional training on how to use the new system effectively. “Patients will be positioned the same way during imaging,” said Jody Klug, Radiology and Lab Manager. “But they will notice a significant difference in the overall processing time.”
Patients will now undergo fewer X-rays, receive their imaging results quicker, and be treated in an even more timely manner for their injuries.
