Another Option in Medical Care Expands to Greensburg(Pittsburgh, PA – May 10, 2007)
On May 15, the Pittsburgh region will have another convenient location for Urgent Care treatment. MedExpress Urgent Care, with four other Southwestern Pennsylvania locations, expands its footprint to include the Eastgate Shopping Plaza, on Route 30 in
Greensburg.
“We’re coming to Greensburg!” said Dr. Frank Alderman, President and CEO of MedExpress. “The number of people who were driving to our Monroeville clinic for treatment was amazing. We’re excited to offer them their own convenient location.” Urgent Care fills a gap in traditional medical care delivery. It serves a need for treatment for a large percentage of medical issues that fall between primary care and emergency care.
“It was a natural expansion. We pay close attention to ensuring we’re providing the best in medical care, rather than growing too quickly,” said Kevin Blankenship, acting Medical Director at the MedExpress clinic. “Greensburg residents were literally asking us to spread there. So we did.”
MedExpress is a privately-owned company established by four physicians seeking to provide a customer-service approach to medicine, minimize wait times, and address the need for world-class, compassionate patient care. The full-service facility includes Xray, Lab, EKG and IV fluid capabilities.
“People like MedExpress for the convenience, atmosphere and efficiency it offers,” said Dr. Blankenship. “We don’t take appointments– patients can just walk in when it is convenient for them, and most patients are seen and treated in under an hour.”
There is always a physician on-site and MedExpress sees patients of all ages. With central locations and the convenient hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week, MedExpress Urgent Care is available to treat illnesses and injuries. Other locations in Pennsylvania include Monroeville, Pleasant Hills, Mars and Washington.
“We’d love to provide great care everywhere, but the MedExpress Way takes an immense amount of detail and a careful attention to doing things correctly,” said Erich Lipphardt, Director of Development and Marketing. “We don’t open a clinic until we’re confident it will be done right.”
