Great Care Crew Plans Community Activities in South Hills, PA

To promote its newest clinic in South Hills, MedExpress Urgent Care is planning several community efforts including healthy eating presentations, cold vs. flu presentations, and distributing entry forms to win a 42” high definition television.

The Great Care Crew kicks off its community excursion on Saturday, August 18 at the South Hills Village mall. Kathy Svilar, popularly known as the Shop ‘N Save Lady, will join MedExpress in presenting the importance of healthy eating. There will also be information
provided on how to identify and differentiate the symptoms of a cold and the flu, as well as some helpful tips for prevention. Presentations will be offered throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday. Various giveaways and prizes will also be distributed.

“MedExpress enjoys assisting the community in living a healthier lifestyle,” said Gary Derk, Outreach Coordinator. “We have an on-going commitment to our community.”

On the same days, the Great Care Crew can be spotted in various South Hills areas spreading the news of MedExpress’ newest clinic location in Upper St. Clair, and handing out entry forms for the opportunity to win a 42” HDTV.

MedExpress will be opening its sixth Pennsylvania location in Upper St. Clair on Wednesday, August 22. “We are excited to offer another convenient location for South Hill’s residents,” said Erich Lipphardt, Director of Development and Marketing.

Urgent care fills a gap in traditional medical care delivery by treating a large percentage of medical issues that don’t necessarily require primary care, or an emergency room visit.

“People like MedExpress for the convenience, atmosphere and efficiency it offers,” said Dr. Blankenship, COO at MedExpress. “You don’t need an appointment – patients can just walk in when it is convenient for them, and most patients are seen and treated in under an hour.” All clinics are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
