MedExpress Offers $20 Seasonal Flu Shots

The seasonal flu is already being identified in areas across the United States, and seasonal flu vaccinations are expected to be released soon.  The CDC recommends that medical providers begin administering the seasonal flu vaccinations as soon as they are received.

Getting a seasonal flu vaccine helps protect against seasonal flu viruses.  However, it is important to know that the seasonal flu vaccine is not intended for the novel H1N1 "swine flu" virus.  A vaccine against H1N1 flu is currently being addressed by clinical trial, and is not available at this time.  Availability of H1N1 vaccine will be communicated when determined.

Beginning September 8, 2009, MedExpress will offer seasonal flu shots for $20 each at all locations, while supplies last.  Flu vaccines are available at MedExpress for all ages 4 and up.  The CDC recommends that children younger than nine years of age who have never before received the influenza vaccine be given two doses one month apart.  For optimal protection, both doses should be administered before, or no later than, early December. MedExpress will bill insurance when applicable.
